306 - His Reaction is Only Logical
NaNoWriMo 2016 is upon us! Huzzah, and all that. This year, I’m writing the sequel to the book that I wrote last year. So far, it’s turning out pretty well. There’s been a bit of zaniness with scenes that I’ve been spending a year trying to talk myself out of writing, but the story makes the most sense with them in place and I finally decided to listen to the story instead of letting myself get bogged down in trying to outthink the story. Whether or not the scenes in question end up in the novel, writing them helped me get a better understanding of what it means to be an author that goes where the book needs to go, instead of trying to force it down a different path that may hurt the overall story.
