Last week, we lost a pillar of the nerdy community in Leonard Nimoy.  Yesterday, Terry  Pratchett passed.  This has already been a hard year for our people, and those two will be dearly missed.  Please continue to rally around those who are suffering from the loss of those whom we have loved and respected.

If you aren’t familiar with Terry Pratchett, he was the creator of the Discworld series.  That series is tremendously epic in scope, but tremendously approachable.  There are 40+ books associated with the series (one of which will apparently be published posthumously), but one of the great things about the series is that pretty much each book can be experienced without much, if any, prior knowledge of the series at large.  There are distinct points of growth and connecting tissue to tie the whole world together beautifully, but the books can be easily enjoyed on their own.  I would recommend starting with the first two books (The Colour of Magic & The Light Fantastic) to get a grasp of the world and then go pretty much wherever you’d like from there.

On a COMPLETELY unrelated note, I made an Instagram account for the comic that can be reached at here.
