I fell off the planet a while back without too much notice, and for that I am very sorry. I have returned to reality and to a more regular update schedule. You guys deserve a bit of an explanation for my arbitrary absence, so here ‘tis. At the end of May, while I was literally in the process of drawing the comic that is posted above, I got an incredible offer to work with some incredible people in Austin, TX. The only problem was that there wasn’t much lead time with the gig. I ended up having to get my house in order to sell and find a place to stay down in Austin within about a week. After I got down here and had to find a slightly more permanent place while my my finalized plans for us selling our house and continued to pack it up. A couple of weeks ago, I went down to get them and have been attempting to unpack various boxes to pretend like I had a semblance of normalcy. Thankfully, that vestige of normalcy has been achieved and all seems to be rolling along very well.
That having been said: I am planning on moving the update day from Fridays to Mondays moving forward. I’ve thought a lot about this and it’s what makes the most sense to me with what I am now doing for my other gig. The other slight hiccup in my ‘getting back to a normal schedule’ thing is that I will be in Portland next weekend for the wedding of two truly amazing people and I will almost certainly be late posting, but I will get something to you as soon as I can next week.
It is tremendously good to be back! Thanks for your patience for the last month.
