Today’s comic was inspired by a few conversations that I have had with a friend of mine over the last couple of weeks since Fallout 4 came out. As I have been writing my NaNoWriMo novel, I have really only played over the course of the weekend. And even then I can only play after my son goes to bed, so I have played much much less than he has. The problem is that I have stupidly low Intelligence (pun not really.. but kinda intended) but I have maxed out my Luck and have Idiot Savant as maxed as I can get it. The end result was that, at one point I didn’t even realize how many levels I had received from completing a single quest until I went in to apply the points. It was incredible and I thought that my friend was going to murder me for my particular setup.
That having been said, I am going to hit 40k words tonight of the target 50k for the month. Overall, within the novel, I’d say that I’m about 25% of the way through the book. This one may get kinda long before its done but that’s what editing and, for that matter, long books are for.
